100 grams of tomatoes contains 18 calories, 95 percent of water, 0.9 grams of protein, 3.9 grams of carbohydrate, 2.6 gram of sugar, and 1.2 gram of sugar. Apart from this other nutrients present in tomatoes are vitamin C, potassium, vitamin K1, B-vitamin folate and plant compound such as beta-carbonate, lycopene, chlorogenic acid and naringenin.
